I’m Nicole, a mom and the founder of Butzi Kids. It’s been more than a year since we sold our first puzzle, and so much has happened in that time. We’ve grown our product line beyond puzzles to include placemats and prints, and continue to receive heart-warming stories and feedback about our products from locals and tourists—near and far. I am inspired by this response and extremely grateful.
As a parent in today’s digital age, it’s also great to see kids enjoy games and toys that are not battery-powered. Kids of all ages (and adults too!) love puzzles and I know they feel a great sense of accomplishment when working on one—from recognizing shapes to placing that final piece in place. Cartoon illustrations inspired by Whistler and Vancouver give Butzi Kids puzzles a unique, local feel. Details like skiing on the slopes of Whistler or taking an aquabus in False Creek in Vancouver were included so that kids can recognize them and take home a "real" piece of our locales.
Knowing how much Butzi Kids customers enjoy our products, I want to share this joy with other families in need too. This time of year is a season of giving, and I enjoy giving to organizations that support kids and families year round. To date, Butzi Kids has donated puzzles to The Ronald McDonald House, Canuck Place, Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, The Lower Mainland Christmas Toy Bureau and Project Somos Children's Village in Guatemala. Each of these organizations does so much for many families enduring unnecessary obstacles in life; and I feel privileged to share our puzzles with them and help bring a smile to their children’s faces.

Butzi Kids was inspired by my son’s interest in puzzles and I feel so gratified to now be sharing our creations around the world—it’s been a rewarding adventure for me. I love hearing from our customers and knowing that our puzzles continue to travel to new places. We love where we live, and love knowing other kids are enjoying the puzzles as much as my son, Alexander, does.
