Butzi Kids’ puzzles, placemats and prints all feature artwork that was collaborated on with artist Andy Eccleshall, a very good friend of mine. Between my vision and his flare for bringing visions to life in illustration, we were able to create the artwork that Butzi customers have come to adore.
Many of you have asked about the artwork and who created it, and as much as I’d love to be the artistic hand, all credit goes to Andy – he is such a wonderfully talented artist! He was able to take the design that was in my head and masterfully put it onto canvas.
Andy began his career at the age of 16, specializing in architectural illustration and landscape painting. Born in England, he now lives in Seattle, Washington with his family where he works as a fine artist. His experience with landscape and murals was a natural fit for the type of artwork I wanted to use for Butzi Kids.
Featured in the American Art Collector in 2010 and 2014, and more recently in Southwest Art Magazine, Andy has many successes in the world of art. Needless to say, I was delighted to work with him and you can check out his amazing work at www.andyeccleshall.com and www.themuralworks.com
After producing both puzzles, it was a natural fit to expand our products to placemats and prints. Because people loved the artwork so much, we created the prints which are available in an 11“ x 14” size, with a laminated finish, and make great art for any kids room, playroom, or space where you want to captivate their imagination.
The placemats are very popular, and will surely help make mealtime fun for your child. Whether they dine on Whistler or dine on Vancouver, kids can enjoy some ambiance with their food, to ignite their sense of travel and adventure even more. The placemats are also PVC free and made with 100% polypropylene—making it fast and easy for clean up with just a damp cloth.
We spent a long time developing the Whistler and Vancouver artwork because we both wanted to get it just right. From mock-up to masterpiece, both Andy and I were thrilled with the final products, and it was amazing to see them come to life in puzzle form – and later the placemats and prints..
For now, we hope you continue to enjoy our collection of products!
